What is ECU remapping?
The engine control unit, or ECU, manages aspects of how an engine operates. Remapping changes its software calibration. The options depend on the engine, ECU version, existing hardware and vehicle condition.
Start with your driving goals: how the vehicle responds, how it delivers power, or whether an existing setup needs a different calibration. A vehicle-specific discussion is more useful than choosing a map from a headline power figure.
Will a remap suit my vehicle?
Share the make, model, year and engine, together with any modifications or current warning lights. If you have diagnostic fault codes or details of earlier software work, include them too.
ECU access differs between vehicles. Some can be accessed through the diagnostic port; others may need a different method or ECU removal. Confirm whether your particular vehicle can be worked on at a mobile visit before arranging an appointment.

What affects the price and appointment time?
Pricing and timing depend on the vehicle, ECU access, requested software work and location. This website does not publish fixed prices or a universal turnaround time. Those details need to be agreed for your vehicle before booking.
If you are considering several changes, list them together so the full scope can be discussed. Software changes and any physical work are agreed separately.
Power, economy and vehicle condition
Results vary between vehicles. Engine condition, existing hardware and driving conditions all matter, so no specific power increase, fuel saving or reliability outcome is promised here.
Existing faults need investigation. A remap does not repair a mechanical problem, and suppressing a warning does not establish that the vehicle is healthy. Read the DTC software information if fault codes are part of your enquiry.
Questions to ask before booking
Do I need to know my ECU version?
Send it if you have it. Otherwise, start with the make, model, year, engine and any previous tuning information. Compatibility still needs to be confirmed for your vehicle.
Can I combine remapping with other software work?
You can include several services in one enquiry. Each change needs its own compatibility and intended-use discussion. Read the ECU software guide before requesting emissions or sound changes.
What should I ask about insurance and warranty?
Before booking, ask your insurer how the proposed changes affect your cover. Check any warranty, finance or lease terms that apply to your vehicle too.
Can I book through the enquiry form?
The form sends your vehicle enquiry for a reply. It does not reserve an appointment. You can also call, text or WhatsApp 07448 115666 to discuss the work and arrange a suitable time.
Prepare your vehicle enquiry
Have your make, model, year, engine and postcode ready. Add your goals, modifications and fault codes so the next discussion starts with the right details.
